Proof of Travel

For Tourists:

  • You must have either a hotel reservation or a notarized invitation letter from an Algerian host or an invitation letter from a travel agency.
  • If you are receiving an invitation letter from an Algerian host, it must be notarized at the City Hall in Algeria.
  • Alternatively, if the invitation is from an Algerian living in the United States, it can be notarized at a notary public office. In addition, the Algerian host is required to provide a copy of their Algerian ID, passport, or consular card.
  • A computer-generated flight itinerary from the airline or a travel agency, or a copy of the airline ticket showing entry and departure from Algeria. This can include a copy of a round-trip flight ticket.
  • Evidence of financial resources or proof of income, such as the most recent pay stub or bank statement.
  • Proof of address within the Consular jurisdiction. This can be a valid driver’s license, utility bill, bank or credit card statement, insurance policy, or bill.

For Business:

  • An invitation letter from an Algerian partner or a local branch of a company. This letter must include details explaining the relationship to the applicant, the purpose of the travel, length of stay, place of stay, and contact information.
  • A letter from the employer that provides a brief presentation of the company. It should state the job title or position of the applicant and the purpose of the visit. Additionally, the company should declare financial responsibility for all expenses incurred during the trip and must provide detailed contact information in Algeria.
